Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a drug and alcohol counseling program for those that do not have the option to check into a lengthy residential drug rehab facility, or that have personal, work, or school schedule limitations. It is well suited for the individual who is stepping down from residential or PHP level of treatment or someone who still has a job and cannot take a long leave of absence. IOP is a less intensive course of counseling consisting of a minimum of 9 hours of group therapy and 1 hour of individual therapy per week (schedule is typically three days a week, three hours per day, at minimum) and allows clients greater access to the community. For many, this more intensive program in early drug and alcohol addiction recovery is necessary to lay a solid foundation needed to live a stable life.
At Hopes Gate, the health and sobriety of our clients is our first priority. Our Intensive Outpatient Program is intended only for those who are truly committed to recovery and who are prepared to work hard to achieve a healthy, sober lifestyle. Our Clinical Staff provides group therapy with a 12-step orientation along with individual therapy to continue the process of recovery. Specialized treatment plans include our own spirituality, family therapy and holistic, supplemental treatment. This can include:equine therapy, meditation, yoga, massage therapy, chiropractic services, pain management, nutritional assessment and education and music therapy.
Our treatment program is designed to fully engage the individual in the process of his/her own recovery in an environment that is far removed from the distractions of everyday life. A schedule of individual and/or group therapy is crafted so that a person may participate within a convenient schedule. Support and encouragement to be involved with his/her own recovery is emphasized. Our compassionate professional staff monitors and assesses progress and recommends changes in strategy, if needed.
