Our Admissions Staff will be your primary point of contact to guide you and your family throughout the pre-admissions process. He/she will lead you through the comprehensive evaluation process. We will work to ensure that we can meet your needs and to determine which of our programs will best fit your current life circumstances. This evaluation may include questions about precipitating events; mental health history; substance use and medical history; the family structure and issues, legal history, career and education; your current therapist and physicians; and contact information.

Hopes Gate works closely with you and your loved ones every step of the way to determine the appropriate level of care and make specific recommendations for you. Our Clinical Team is consulted during this time to determine if Hopes Gate can meet your needs. Once we have determined if our programs are the correct fit for your needs and you or your loved one has agreed to accept treatment, it’s time to consider an admission date.

Sometimes, individuals suffering from significant medical and psychological issues need stabilization prior to beginning treatment at Hopes Gate. We are not an acute care facility, but we can arrange for transfers from hospitals and other healthcare centers once an individual has been stabilized. Our Admissions Staff will work closely with you to set-up those arrangements when clinically appropriate.

The moment that you choose to enter treatment at Hopes Gate, you join a supportive and healing community that is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals and pursue a healthier future. We place a premium on providing respectful treatment of patients, family members, and staff in a safe environment. We have systems in place to ensure that the rights of our clients and their family members are preserved and protected. These rights are outlined in the patient handbook that will be given to you upon admission.

It’s not unusual for the person suffering from addiction to feel resistant to the idea of treatment. Intervention is a planned, structured process that steers the non-compliant prospective patient towards help and treatment. A trained professional with the help of friends and family facilitate the whole process. The interventionist then works out arrangements for admission to a facility and can accompany them to the treatment center.
